PpJAZ1 tobacco plants show low transcription levels of JA-biosynthesis genes after mechanical wounding. Analyses of Nt-LOX3 (a), Nt-OPR3 (b) and Nt-AOC (c) gene expression in WT and Cl3 A plants after 0.5, 1, 3 and 6 hours of mechanical wounding. The expression of each gene was normalized to that of NtActin in each sample. The results are the mean ± SE of three biological replicates. Values marked with an asterisk (*) are significantly greater than WT control, according to the Tukey-Kramer HSD (P <0.05).
