Fig. 11

Proportions of cell type-specifically expressed domains in selected groups or subgroups of protein domains. As described in the legends of Figs. 9 and 10, protein domains were sorted into groups and subgroups and each group or subgroup was analyzed for the proportion of protein domains with overexpression (fold difference in expression ≥ 2) in somatic cells or reproductive cells, or without distinct differences in expression between the two cell types. Here, shares of cell type-specific expressed domains in selected groups or subgroups of protein domains are shown in greater detail. The groups are sorted from left to right by the percentage ratio of protein domains with overexpression in somatic cells to protein domains with overexpression in reproductive cells. For comparison, we also determined the proportions for all domains as a whole, which is 25.8% overexpressed in somatic cells (yellow horizontal line), 33.1% overexpressed in reproductive cells (green horizontal line), and 41.1% without overexpression. The listed groups/subgroups come from the classifications by both molecular function (Fig. 9) and biological process (Fig. 10). Some of the subgroups shown here are subgroups of the groups/subgroups shown in Figs. 9 and 10
