Pcp1-mediated cleavage of mitochondrial proteins in yeast. Pcp1, a PARL orthologue in yeast, is known to cleave Mgm1 a and Pcp1 b. The cleavage site of Pcp1 resides in the second hydrophobic segment of these substrates. For Pcp1-mediated cleavage of Mgm1 and Ccp1, some proteins (PAM complex and m-AAA, respectively) are involved in the membrane dislocation of substrates for presenting cleavage sites to Pcp1.
