From: Downregulation of the NLRP3 inflammasome by adiponectin rescues Duchenne muscular dystrophy
Immunodetection of inflammation and oxidative stress markers in mdx muscles with Nlrp3 abrogation. Tibialis anteriorĀ muscles were sampled from WT mice, Nlrp3-KO mice, mdx mice and mdx mice that were also Nlrp3-deficient (mdx/Nlrp3-KO). Immunodetection was performed with specific antibodies directed against NLRP3, three pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-1Ī², IL-18 and TNFĪ±) and one oxidative stress marker (peroxiredoxin 3, PRDX3). IL-1Ī² antibody was specific for the mature form of the protein, while IL-18 antibody recognized its total form. Representative sections for six mice per group are shown. Scale bar = 50 Ī¼m
