Overview pathways involved in dissimilatory inorganic sulfur compound cycling encoded by the selected MAGs. The presence/absence of functional marker genes in the MAGs is given by the color scheme. The genomes were grouped by phylogeny, and the number of species representatives assessed for each group is given after its taxonomic name. The involvement of each gene in specific pathways is indicated in the diagrams. Full arrows indicate the enzymatic reactions for which genes were found encoded in the metagenomes. The dotted, pink arrows show possible chemical reactions
