Description of the acquired bone structure parameters. Humeral (a) and vertebral (b) global compactness (Cg) were acquired along proximodistal and anteroposterior profiles, respectively. For the humerus (a), cross-sectional shape (CSS) at midshaft and diaphysis elongation (DE; diaphysis length/total cross-sectional area at midshaft1/2) were also acquired. For the vertebra, a volume of interest (VOI) was defined in the centre of the centrum, and the trabecular parameters bone fraction (BV/TV) and Connectivity were acquired.
