The cfDNAs used for the library preparations were purified with the PPIP method (C, E, F, and G) and QIAamp Circulating Nucleic Acid Kit (D). The PPIP purified DNA was treated with (E) or without (C, D, F, and G) a mixture of E. coli exonuclease I and Rec J before the library preparation. The heat denaturation before library preparation was omitted for G.
