CiRNAseq exhibits high specificity and resolution. A CiRNAseq exhibits high specificity in a mixed microbial sample. The method can discriminate different microbes in a single sample of mixed bacteria. B CiRNAseq displays high-resolution in detecting microbes. The technique can identify different species of the same genus such as P. copri, P. denticola, and P. disiens and other species from a distinctive genus such as L. delbruecki, L. fermentum, and L. jensenii within the same sample. The CVMP was shortened (CVMPs) in B to only display species and isolates from Lactobacillus and Prevotella genera. Values represent the percentage of reactive smMIPs in the specific set for each microbe. Negative control: water
