Osteosarcoma cells demonstrate high transcriptional heterogeneity (colors) in cell culture, orthotopic tibia, and lung microenvironments. Tumors that grow in the orthotopic tibia lesions follow dynamics of neutral evolution where different cancer clones (shapes) co-exist and propagate simultaneously.
