Evolutionary relationships among vertebrate β-like globin genes using a 50% majority rule consensus phylogram from an analysis using Bayesian inference. The tree was constructed using mixed models of evolution for each codon position (see methods) and estimated base frequencies in an unlinked analysis using MrBayes (v. 3.1.2).
