  1. The Noncoding Universe was Inferred

    Jarvis and Robertson declare that extensive RNA transcription "could not have been inferred from any known biological principle" and label such transciption as "surprising". However, such an inference has been on the table for many years. The clearest recent exposition was in 2002 (Trends in Immunology 23, 575-578; (Click Here)). This was elaborated in the 2006 first edition of my textbook Evolutionary Bioinformatics, and further updated in the 2011 second edition (Click Here).
